This series, this book...
I have no adequate words.
I have been pulled into this series heart and soul, totally unable to stop reading, except for living life and doing necessary things, of course. I didn't leave comments on the others, though I will probably fix that when I can, because I was so eager to go to the next.
I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of fantasy, adventure, romance, and vast emotions tied around amazing world building and characterizations. This was more than just a book to me, it was art, brilliance in action, and it's made me think in different ways than I normally have before reading this series. I know that sounds immensely larger than just a simple story, and maybe it's something to do with just me, but I cannot recommend this series or this book enough. This author has done wondrous things with these words and made these characters come alive for me in a way I didn't expect. I can't stand the wait till the next one comes out, but I'm going to have to.
I wish I could thank Kai Butler personally, but I'd probably seem like a weirdo stalker anyway, so best not go that direction. ;p
Bottom line? If you're looking at reviews and comments, then you're definitely considering this book. Do it. I cannot imagine you will regret it.

Keeps getting better and better
This set of stories is just magical and mesmerizing. The characters are dimensional, the plot very interesting and the progression well put together.
Another in the Imperium Saga
This amazing saga continues with the tale of Emperor Tally and Prince Airón as the traverse across the Imperium to seek out a way to stop the curse and defeat the disloyal Generals Kacha and Bemishu. Travel far in this harrowing tall about loss, grief, love and changing fate with this continuation of the Emporor's Assassin Saga in this fantastical book. This one has it all, magic, love, dragons, and the marvelous animalia.
Just gets better and better!
This is the fourth book in the series, and I really do think it’s worth starting from the beginning to fully appreciate everything going on here. There’s so much already established that it just hits better when you’ve been on the whole journey.
What I loved most is how easy it is to get pulled back into this world. It’s rich without feeling overwhelming, and there’s always something happening—magic, danger, twists—but it never feels like too much or like it’s just thrown in for shock value. The stakes feel real the entire time, which kept me on the edge of my seat.
But honestly, Tallu and Airon are what made this book special for me. Their relationship adds so much more heart to the story. The way they show up for each other, support each other… it just grounds everything. No matter what kind of chaos is happening around them, that connection gives the story its emotional core, and I loved that.
