Description

In the flooded ruins of 2095 London, humanity has fractured, and in the shadow of a systemic collapse, people have become currency. Alexander Lytton exists only as a piece of property, surviving the brutal microchipped cruelty of his world by perfecting the art of invisibility. He is an object until he is caught in the wake of a high-profile murder, suddenly pulled from his life of silent servitude and thrust into the orbit of a man who refuses to see him as an asset. Detective Josiah Raine is a man hollowed out by grief, haunting the grey streets and nursing the jagged edges of a past tragedy he cannot solve. When he takes on the investigation into Alex’s master, he finds himself dismantling the walls he built around his heart. As the two men maneuver through the treacherous terrain of Ghost Eye City and the desolate Quarterlands, the investigation transforms into a high-stakes battle for survival. Spanning four intense novels, this epic saga threads together a haunting conspiracy, the search for long-buried truth, and a volatile, forbidden connection. For Alex and Josiah, trust is a lethal luxury—and the only thing left worth dying for.

Slow burn Suspenseful romance!!

This series was amazing! It started a little slow for me, but I got into it pretty quickly and and could not put any of the books in this series down. I read all 4 books, and the bonus novella, in about 2 weeks! For a romance novel the spice was just right and not overbearing (if you read the romance genre you know what I mean), allowing you to get into the characters and the story and the angst and the SUSPENSE! So good!!!! Run don’t walk!!
