Very fulfilling short story
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5 stars
Last night, I went searching for some short reads, and this did not disappoint! I was a little wary that it wouldn't be fulfilling since it was under 100 pages, and lately, books under 100 pages haven't really been fulfilling for me, but this book was AMAZING!
Dante is an escort who was let down and then scorned by the first man he ever became infatuated with. It cost him his career and his family.
Blake came in, instantly fell head over heels for Dante, and wormed his way into Dante's life. I couldn't get enough of this couple.
Gay romance novels are fairly new to me, especially explicit ones like this story. So I dove in with little expectation and was pleasantly surprised. There was a lot of depth to the characters and a very satisfying conclusion. My only quip would be that the author focused on sexual attraction between characters without exploring deeper emotional connections. Sort of cheapens the story. But perhaps that was a consequence of the short story format. Regardless, the book had an unusual premise and I'm glad I picked it up.

This story about one of the escorts working from a run-down English hotel, and a business man who helps them all out is a pleasant read. No great drama. Written well. Just the right length for the pkot line.

This is a very easy read. I could hardly put it down. I like that it keeps a balance of the story flow and the romantic scenes. I can't wait to read the other novels in the series.
Great start to the series
I enjoyed this story of Dante, a practical but kind sex worker, finding a love of his own. We got to know him better than his love interest Rick, but both men have good hearts and an undeniable attraction. The patience Rick showed was exactly what Dante didn't know he needed, and it was easy to root for this couple. I appreciated that the epilogue was told from Rick's point of view, after the rest of the book was from Dante's. Dante and Rick's romance was a great start to this series.
