Description

Amy always presumed her brief dalliances in university were a closed chapter of her life. Now in her late twenties and comfortably settled into a predictable routine with her boyfriend, James, she has carefully tucked her past away. She is playing the part of the future bride perfectly, convinced that the safety of her current situation is exactly what she wants. Everything shifts when her ambitious colleague, Sarah, begins to mentor her. Sarah is sharp, sophisticated, and undeniably magnetic, quickly blurring the lines between professional support and something much more incendiary. Just as Amy begins to question her long-held domestic stability, she crosses paths with the vibrant and free-spirited Luisa. Suddenly, Amy is caught in a whirlwind, balancing the pressures of her established life with the undeniable electricity of two women who challenge everything she thought she knew about desire. Across continents and late-night secrets, Amy must navigate this high-stakes love triangle to find where her true heart lies. Coming Into The Light is a provocative, heart-racing exploration of buried identity and the courage required to embrace the truth. Join Amy as she finally pulls back the curtain on her own needs and dares to step into a life of authentic, unshielded passion.

LOVED seeing the light!

This is one of my favorite books. It's pretty perfect; it almost hurt to finish it because I didn't want it to end. Amy's journey of self discovery is believable and relatable -- work crush and romance. Sarah is seriously one of the sexiest characters I've read. Well written, good plot and story that will keep you on the edge of your seat! Romance and spice that left me wanting to know more about these great characters and their lives -- hope a sequel is on the way C? Please, please, please :)

Ethically problematic, at best

No applause for the casual acceptance of adultery/cheating and a big thumbs-down for an executive who dispenses career boosts in exchange for sexual favors. Hello, Harriet Weinstein! Add to that the undeveloped characters and shallow emotional development... That's two hours of my life I'm not getting back. Hard to believe it's the same author who produced Her Miss Perfect.

More attraction than romance or love

The book left me kind of cold. It centered around a play for pay arrangement where a high status executive traded sex for a career boost. I felt that all the interactions were based more on attraction rather than any kind of real relationship. The attempts at describing relationships just didn't work very well. The main character is rather shallow and truthfully not somebody that I would be really interested in meeting even on a friendship basis
