Took my breath away, well worth the read!

5-stars for "CATCH MY Breath" as I found myself emotionally bonding with the characters in this story. M.J O'Shea puts together the right mix of characters, storyline, angst, timing and action to make this a truly memorable story. Given the number of 5-star ratings, previous readers also agree. I recommend this novel for those readers who are not afraid to feel an emotional attachment to the characters as they cope with being caught up into the music industry. Wow, coming of age! These young men did not only have to cope as members of a band, they had the challenge of growing together as friends and accepting each other as a group of 5 men that love and support one another. Though I am a 60-year old gay male, the story came alive for me as M.J. O'Shea created a vivid picture. Sexual content had the right mix of passion and reality without being overplayed. I highly recommend "CATCH MY Breath" as I know it will touch the hearts of many readers who are opening to sharing a beautiful romantic and sensual journey of two, talented young men as they find their way in a manipulative world.

A Fun, Light, Enjoyable Read

I must start off by saying I'm pleasantly surprised with this book. I skimmed the first few pages of the preview offered by Amazon and thought the writing style might not be what I like, but the premise sounded interesting and unique and I decided to try it anyway, especially since it had great reviews. As it turned out, the writing was a lot better than my glimpse lead me to believe. It was engaging and entertaining. The characters each had their own personality and interacted well with one another. The sexual tension between Danny and Elliot was to die for and I loved reading about their blossoming relationship and comfortable flirting. I loved how the author presented the story. We see the boys auditioning, meeting one another, becoming a band and getting their name out there, what happens once they've hit it big, and a whisper of what's to come in the future. At over 300 pages, I was already happy with the length of the story, but going through all of these stages made it seem much longer without weighing me down. I felt like I was reading a saga of the rise of this band and I felt really satisfied at the end. The author writes in clips from the local teen magazine and various twitter updates which worked really well and gave the book more dimension. The tweets were especially amusing because they felt real and looked like comments I've seen on Youtube and other websites. Also, the chapters are the titles of various songs and not only did that go well with the musical…

Fell so in love with this book....AMAZING!

So freakin cute I can't stand it. I loved Danny and Elliot!!!! These two had more chemistry than I've read in a lot of adult m/m books and the emotional connectin and deep love they felt just made this book sparkle. I was sorry to read the last sentence and would love to read more about them. I don't read many young adult m/m because they're just too tame for me but I'm glad I took a chance on CMB. Love the cover! I would have hated to have missed such a sweet story and the great chemistry and fun between all the guys. Their friendships were really special and fun to watch develop.

Team Delly!

This is my first review ever, and I have read hundreds of books. I was reading contemporary romances and recently got into the M/M genre, and I love it! Ive read a few books from this author and after reading this one decided I might need to start taking the extra step and time to support authors a little further by writing a review for them...so here I am. I really enjoyed this read from the beginning to the last page. What Danny and Elliot had with each other was beautiful to read and I wish they didn't have to fight so hard to just be together and be happy...but then we wouldn't have a plot to read. It was refreshing to read about Daniel and Elliott who simply LOVE each other but they are fighting outside forces trying to ruin their relationship. They come together as band mates within a 5 member boy band. Immediately they are drawn to each other and become close friends, but Danny has a girlfriend and has to work out what his feelings for Elliot mean.Once they come together as a couple and have the support of their fellow band mates, Danny and Elliot's relationship is tested by their record label who do not want them together (at least publicly) so they can appeal to the fan base better. Its always about the bottom line $$$. This is the start of DELLY having to fight hard to see that anything thrown at them is worth the fight as long as they are together at the end of the day, which proves to be challenging for the couple. Through it all though, they never stopped…

Catch My Breath

Catch My Breath was super cute! I'm a total sucker for reality TV plots, and this one is made even better because it's about boybands! Well, there's a girl band, and other musicians, but it follows Danny and Elliot's group primarily. Danny is auditioning for what he thinks is a solo gig, and it was at first. But then they decide a boyband would be even better! Elliot auditions at the encouragement of a friend, and he's exactly what the industry is looking for. Neither guy is expecting to find love when they sign on. I had a huge smile plastered on my face from the very beginning, because Danny and Elliot's interactions are so freaking adorable! Fans of the show pretty quickly pick up on their bromance, and then start assuming that they are in a real relationship. But the heartthrobs have to hide their feelings, because their record label wants to promote the dream of them being straight and single for their female fans. This was the main source of drama. It was believable, but frustrating! I want my boys to be happy! The one thing that kept me from loving Catch My Breath was that it felt really long. Not that it took me a long time to read, but everything is so dragged out. There's a very long timeline as we see the band go from each member getting discovered and the band actually forming. We see the entire run of the TV show and the aftermath. The band releases two albums! Danny and Elliot are sneaking around for the majority of it, before finally standing up to their…
