This was my first - and favorite - Katia Rose book. Its just a really special story, which says a lot because Katia Rose books always have something special in them. In Catch and Cradle, there's lacrosse, a group of close friends, forbidden crushes, dyslexia rep -lots of fun, angst, and young love.
Becca and Hope are 👩🍳💋🤌. You could feel the sexual tension through the pages. The story is about how they connected through the lacrosse team, but they became so much more outside of the team. It was beautiful to see how the relationship unfolded. I loved this story 🥰
Cute college sports romance!
Good story between Becca and Hope on the varsity lacrosse team at a university in Canada. I enjoyed getting to know a little about the game of lacrosse having never seen a match before. The author seemed very knowledgeable about the sport and her descriptions of the practices and actual games appeared real.
The two young women were hard working and very likeable with typical issues regarding past relationships they had to overcome and how to plan for their futures. There was lots of diversity represented in the secondary characters and one of the main gals even has dyslexia. I loved the way Katia described it and how supportive the true friends were. This was a very engaging and enjoyable book!

I am a sucker for a sporty romance, and this book really delivered! I enjoyed the “forbidden” aspect of the relationship, and it was also nice to see some of the friendships explored, as well. Overall, excellent read!

I think this book is mostly well written with only a few major typos that I could find, and minor personal issues with tone (the characters randomly bursting into fits of uncontrollable laughter got old quick). I love sports romance novels a lot, and my favorite scenes were definitely the moments on the field even though those scenes also felt somewhat regurgitated after the first two. Hope's narrative was a lot more cohesive and appealing than Becca's, and I personally would have liked the book more if she was the sole voice instead of it bouncing between the 2 of them throughout the story. Becca was way too angsty about the whole team dating thing, and I felt like the author's attempts at justifying her reasoning for being that way fell short. In the end it almost didn't even matter that they were teammates dating at all, which in turn made the climax of the story lackluster in so many ways. I think the author could have gotten away with just making the story about how they navigated dating while being a part of the same team with college classes and internships and their futures without adding the unnecessary, and unrealistic drama of some bullshit past relationship problems one of the love interests went through making her gun shy. Overall, it wasn't the worst thing I've ever read, but I definitely expected more.
Forbidden romance, secret trysts, passion boiling over: Katia Rose is doing some next level girl-loves-girl writing - lyrical prose, compelling narrative, and hot, hot, hot intimacy. This is the second of Rose's books that I've read straight through and they have both been more than a cut above other romances I've read. You won't regret picking up this unputdownable love story.
