Description

Tory never dreamed of traveling among the stars, but for the sake of his dying sister, he makes the ultimate sacrifice: joining the Genesis Program. Promoted as a life-changing opportunity, the program is actually a cold, calculated operation that turns human men into Carriers. Promised medical care and hefty pay, Tory quickly realizes the fine print hid a terrifying truth. Instead of simple procedures, he undergoes grotesque biological transformations—including the sudden, unwanted sprouting of horns—that leave him feeling like a commodity rather than a person. Enter Kaelen Sarion, an Ae’nar officer who embodies rigid discipline and detachment. Kaelen is everything Tory isn’t, but beneath his professional, icy exterior, something primal is shifting. The moment they cross paths, a dormant, ancient bond ignites, tethering them together by forces neither can control. While Kaelen’s instincts scream to protect his newfound mate, Tory is terrified of losing his autonomy to the very biology that is betraying him. As their connection intensifies, the line between instinct and choice blurs, forcing them to navigate a volatile galaxy of desire and power. Bound to You is a pulse-pounding tale of trust, biological heat, and the struggle to claim agency in a universe that demands submission.

Such A Fun Debut

This was such a fun and unexpected find. Debut books can be hit or miss but this one left me wanting more. The MMCs in this book share a mate bond but I appreciated the slow pace of their romance and spicy encounters. The entire storyline is intriguing and the world building was seriously impressive. Though the book really only takes place in a handful of locations the descriptions and uniqueness of the characters and world are an easy assurance than future books are going to take us to some interesting places. The romance in this book was great beyond the general frustration of miscommunication. I appreciated the slow pace to their relationship and the progression from Tory seeking the Genesis program to his bonding with Kaelen was great. It was impossible not to connect and care for both MMCs with the slow pace and dual POV. I loved the huge cast of interesting side characters and I’m already planning out possible pairs or interesting future plot points certain couples could create. This will definitely be a reread for me someday soon but in the meantime I’m going to have fun thinking about all the other characters who will hopefully get their own books! Tropes: Mates, Heats, Knotting, Size Difference, Miscommunication, Looks Like He Could Kill You - Is A Cinnamon Roll, Human/Alien Pairing Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 3/5 Relationship: MM

Bound to sweep you away!

I thoroughly enjoyed this debut from Haze Lennox and look forward to reading more in the series. The characters, story, and world-building are very promising and entertaining. I had moments of crying, laughing, and aching while reading which tips the rating to five stars.

Tory volunteers for the Genesis Partner Program in a desperate attempt to help his sister. The program is shrouded in secrecy so he's not too sure what he's getting himself into. Once on the station that's orbiting earth he begins his transformation into a carrier, someone capable of bearing children. He and Kaelen's mating is fraught with angst as they both get to know each other and learn what the other needs. They do finally figure it out though. This was a good book even though it was a little bit of a rollercoaster. Please be away body autonomy is removed from the main character in parts if that is a trigger. Spice level: 2

Strange pacing but it works

The MCs don't really even meet until 38% in the book, and things do not go well. Insta-love it is definitely not. I really wondered how well the relationship was going to go. It seemed that they would have to speed run thru it, and the relationship would be all mashed together. Nope! The author totally makes it work. Every loose thread and question neatly wrapped up by the end, except for the dad. But there's a tiny scene that makes me think it was left open on purpose for another book in the series.
