Description

Dr. Aris Thorne lives by a strict code of logic and precision, working in the sterile, high-stakes world of Genesis medical research. His career is his anchor, even if the loneliness of deep-space duty occasionally chips away at his resolve. When he is forced into a volatile partnership with a patient whose very existence defies scientific explanation, his carefully ordered life begins to unravel. This is not a story of easy sparks or instant attraction. Their meeting is fraught with tension, clashing ideologies, and a mutual distrust that threatens to sabotage the most important project in the galaxy. As they are pushed together by circumstances neither can control, the friction between them sparks something unexpected—a bond that is as dangerous as it is undeniable. Blending intricate world-building with a slow-burn connection, this novel balances medical intrigue with moments of genuine, laugh-out-loud humor. It is a story about finding humanity in the cold reaches of space and learning that the heart rarely follows a logical path. If you enjoy character-driven science fiction where the romance is earned through grit and growth, you will find yourself completely captivated by this start to the Genesis Bonds series.

Such A Fun Debut

This was such a fun and unexpected find. Debut books can be hit or miss but this one left me wanting more. The MMCs in this book share a mate bond but I appreciated the slow pace of their romance and spicy encounters. The entire storyline is intriguing and the world building was seriously impressive. Though the book really only takes place in a handful of locations the descriptions and uniqueness of the characters and world are an easy assurance than future books are going to take us to some interesting places. The romance in this book was great beyond the general frustration of miscommunication. I appreciated the slow pace to their relationship and the progression from Tory seeking the Genesis program to his bonding with Kaelen was great. It was impossible not to connect and care for both MMCs with the slow pace and dual POV. I loved the huge cast of interesting side characters and I’m already planning out possible pairs or interesting future plot points certain couples could create. This will definitely be a reread for me someday soon but in the meantime I’m going to have fun thinking about all the other characters who will hopefully get their own books!
