Blood Orange: A Dark Queer Urban Fairytale

Graham Ellis is an art student merely trying to survive the pressures of city life and mounting bills, but his fragile peace is shattered when his old nemesis, Eva Haddon, returns. To Graham, the Haddons represent more than just a landlord family; they are the architects of his childhood displacement, the ones who leveled his neighborhood and erased the landscape of his youth. Haunted by this deep-seated resentment, he becomes singularly obsessed with sabotaging Eva’s project to finish the destruction her father started a decade ago. His desperate quest for retribution leads him to a mysterious entity known as the Caretaker. Promising to drive the Haddons away for good, the Caretaker recruits Graham into a series of surreal, inexplicable rituals. As Graham follows these nonsensical instructions, reality begins to fray. The flora surrounding the Haddon estate swells with unnatural, parasitic life, yet the Caretaker remains frustratingly elusive. As the lines between the urban reality Graham knows and the shifting, supernatural world of the Caretaker blur, he must confront the haunting gaps in his own memory. To survive, he is forced to choose between the life he has built and a dark, seductive pact that could cost him everything.
