Description

The magic of the Roaring Twenties burns brighter than ever in this long-awaited return to the immersive world of Hexworld. As the festive season approaches, the air in New York City grows heavy with both holiday cheer and dangerous arcane tension. Sam and Alistair have navigated countless supernatural threats together, but their bond faces its most intimate test yet. Relationships are never without their bumps, and in a landscape where gangsters wield forbidden spells and ancient secrets lurk in the shadows, keeping their connection strong requires more than just courage; it demands radical vulnerability. This installment masterfully blends gritty paranormal fantasy with the warmth of a seasonal romance. You will find the signature complexity and meticulous world-building that have made this series a favorite among readers who crave stories where history meets the occult. Whether you are returning to visit familiar faces or experiencing this unique vision of the past for the first time, you will be drawn into a narrative that balances high-stakes magical action with deeply tender moments of human resilience. Join Sam and Alistair as they prove that even in a world defined by blood and sand, love remains the most powerful magic of all.

So satisfying!

I do love Jordan L. Hawk's writing style. The complexity of their characters and detail of their world building is astounding. Be it Hexworld or Whybourne & Griffin, the books are fantastic. This book is a fitting addition to the tale of the Pride. I was kept on the edge of my seat throughout. Like my title says, so satisfying! I look forward to future Hexworld titles if they may come. If not, I know that I'll be right there for the next Jordan L Hawk novel anyway.

A great book.

A great story. Like how you show that relationships do run into bumps at times. Hope that you spin another book set in the Hexworld.

Disappointing

I enjoyed the first 2 books. This one never engaged my emotions, nor did I feel much suspense. No chemistry between any of the characters. The plot felt contrived, and the resolution was rushed and felt phoned in. Still 3 stars, based on the writing quality.
