Holy hell. Where do I start? Ruby Roe does NOT miss. Once again, she’s written a bloody masterpiece.
Did I read it in less than 7 hours the day ARCs got sent out? Yes.
Was it completely worth it? Also yes.
Everything about the book was incredible. Midnight and her cocky demeanor, Lucy and her two facets, and everything else was just spot on.
I loved the side characters. Lex and Bastien were great foils to Midnight's seriousness and swagger and Lucy's rigidity and anxiousness.
Going in, I knew this was a Ruby Roe book, and I expected inferno levels of heat, but she out did herself this time.
Every scene was a 15/10, 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Amazing, no notes. Please continue in the next book.
It’s always fun to see an author reference their other books, and Ruby did not disappoint. The shoutouts were so much fun!
I know I'm going to need a re-read before the second book in the duology drops, but that just means I get to dive in all over again. And I am ecstatic to do so.
Like I told Ruby: 20/10, 15⭐, no notes, no criticism. Shattered my heart, but please put it back together in the next book.
spicy, sapphic, fantasy goodness!
Professor/student. Demon x reaper. One night stand turned complicated. Architecti has some excellently portrayed tropes amidst a plot line that kept me intrigued and guessing all the way to the end. Intertwined with some romantic betrayal, deals with the devil and father/daughter drama, this book has plenty of angst and tension that spans beyond the growing attraction of our two FMCs.
The spice was spicing and I’d give it a solid 4 peppers. Dom/sub. Strap. 🍑. Bondage. And some S&M. @sachablackauthor never fails to give us the steam.
And underneath all of that, we find a realistic subtext that explores the complicated outcomes that result when one partner sacrifices themselves for another, who never asked for that burden.
…sooooo when does Interitus get released?!?!

Ruby does it again and again!
There were quite a few plot twists in this storyline that set this one apart from the rest of Ruby Roe's books. I love the angels and demons theme, especially the concept of a fallen angel. There were a few times where I was confused, as I don't read a lot of fantasy novels, but it was still very cool to see a new realm. Also, the sapphic sexy romance was very vivid and delicious. I very much enjoyed the spiciness. Overall, I liked this a lot and am very excited for the next one!

Great characters, poor world-building....
Unlike the Hearts & Heists series, here the world-building is not very well done, leading to a cliff-hanger ending which was rather confusing.
You've got demons, a Demon Academy called "Finis", a pair of twin angels, and a Veil that separates something from something (it's not really clear what), and a political movement to "bring back" one of the two twin angels (from where, who knows?)
The characters are well written, the sex scenes are good, and the central plot element (Midnight's efforts to break her contract with Ignatius) is fine, but the world-building could be A LOT better.

Don't sit on this! Get it!
Another sexy, thrilling, interesting and beautifully written story. I just can't get enough of Ruby Roe's work.
The characters are well developed and the story just flows so easily that you just feel like you are fighting alongside Midnight, Lucy, Lex and Bastien.
I already pre-ordered the next book!
