The playboy agent meets his end all be all
Joshua is a caretaker and protector. He's raising his 5, 6 and 17 year old siblings while working 2 jobs. He has a big heart and can't help but to help people he cares about. This is the reason he finds himself at a drug cartel's home while trying to be there for a friend and is later involved in a shoot out between police and gangsters. Now him and his family have to be put under WITSEC because a hit has been put out on him. He doesn't want to put more of a target on his family's back so he lets them be sent away in witness protection while he gets to be watched over by the sexy agent that saved his life twice already. He shouldn't be focusing on his attraction to the man but seeing how well he's been with him and his family in keeping them assured and safe and now being alone with him how could he not?
Nash is a playboy through and through. He doesn't trust easily or let anyone in except his brothers in arms. He goes through guys but only for long enough to hook up and then he's on to the next. Until he meets the brave man who took on his siblings and is determined to give them a better life than he had. He can't stop the attraction or the fierce protectiveness he feels for Joshua and his family and it only grows the more they're forced to outrun dangerous situations. I really enjoyed this book and it has some good action that gets your heart pumping a bit. I do have to say though that Joshua made it kinda hard to watch over him with his insistence to go out and work his…

I don't think I can say enough good about this particular story. Joshua and Nash are as different as night and day but somehow while Nash is protecting Joshua everything changes. This is my second time at reading this beauty and let me say it will not be my last, the compulsion to read faster even though I know it will be ok is still there as it was the first time reading.

Such a good read!
I loved reading this story. I am BEHIND on knowing anything about the previous series’ and need to get caught up ASAP.
Main characters Joshua and Nash are opposite on the surface but are actually more similar than anyone would think. Joshua is a young man who due to life circumstances, has custody of his younger siblings (5, 6 and 17), of whom he is willing to do anything to protect and provide for. He has a very sweet person who tries to make sure he shows up for the people he cares for. This character trait is actually what leads him to meet Nash, as he is present at the time of a drug raid. Though Joshua is sweet, he is smart, resourceful and mouthy….which shows up early in his relationship with Nash.
I love a character with redemptive qualities and Nash had those. Nash is a walking one night stand, and is proud of it. He has no desire to fall in love and really doesn’t believe in it. Other than his main relationship with his job as an FBI agent, his ‘brothers’ on the force, his cat and his plants, he really has no need for anyone else. He is extremely loyal to his group and would willingly take a bullet for any one of them.
When Nash saves Joshua during a drug raid, he has no idea of the chain reaction to follow. As such, it comes as a complete surprise to him when Joshua latches on to him for protection and Nash finds himself becoming attached to Joshua as well.
Joshua and Nash end up temporarily living together, when Joshua’s siblings are placed…
Lots of action in this book!
Joshua is a sweetheart of a man working two jobs to support his young siblings after a hard fight to get custody. He is determined to take care of his family at all costs. When he tries to help a friend with substance abuse issues, Joshua finds himself in the middle of a raid on a drug cartel with bullets flying. FBI agent Nash is part of the raid and helps Joshua and his friend get to safety. They are unharmed, but Joshua soon learns his problems are just beginning.
Joshua’s wallet fell out of his pocket during the raid, and the cartel has their sights set on killing him for revenge. Nash is tasked with protecting Joshua while the rest of Joshua’s family go into witness protection. Seeing Joshua interact with his family stirs up unfamiliar feelings in Nash, whose family life was a nightmare. The two men grow close as they quickly get to know each other intimately – both emotionally and physically. Nash has always told himself he is satisfied with one-night stands, but seeing Joshua with his family stirs up feelings he cannot deny. There is a chance Nash can have a real family that loves him unconditionally, and Joshua may have found that special someone who will love him and help keep his family safe.
But something is wrong. Somehow despite all the FBI’s precautions, the cartel keeps finding Joshua. How is the cartel able to keep finding them? Nash and his team determine there is a mole somewhere, who needs to be flushed out and neutralized before the cartel can complete…
