Beautifully written story of Kenzie and Lennox. Two actors that had crushes on each other finally met with the help of best friends, Peyton and Dani at a yearly “summer camp” event held every July fourth. Their journey evolved into one of career reconsiderations, compromises, pain, fear, love and finally ... commitment. A very special piece of this story is that Kenzie has Aspergers and it was woven into their journey beautifully and respectfully. A very good read. I enthusiastically and unequivocally recommend this and any other works by this author. Thank you Peace
This is a great follow up to No After You. Although it was written first, I'm glad I read Peyton and Dani's story first. Undoubtedly their outstanding friendships paved the way for Lennox and Kenzie who met at Peyton's adult camp for her famous friends to get away from the limelight and just relax. Lennox is Hollywood royalty and Kenzie is one of the most popular young actresses on tv today. Unbeknownst to them, they've each had a secret crush on the other one for a long time so when they finally meet, there is instant attraction. Nicole Pyland seems to have a recipe for putting two beautiful people together by letting them simmer for a bit and then turning the flame to high!
However, she also writes with such wonderful emotion and respect. In this story, Kenzie is on the Autism spectrum with high functioning Asperger's. She does not read social cues as most others do and often needs some time on her own, away from the stimulation the others bring. As a retired Special Education teacher, I thought Ms. Pyland wrote the part of Kenzie in a truthful, capable and believable way. When she said to Lennox "I've never been enough for someone to want to keep around forever," my heart just broke, but Nicole gave Lennox a loving understanding of her girlfriend's needs. The acceptance from all the friends at the camp is what we'd all like to have in our lives. I hope my students will someday find this healthy, loving relationship. What a beautiful book, Nicole! 💕
Spectrum representation? Yes please!
I love that one of the main characters in this story is on the spectrum and they find someone who understands them, is patient, and doesn't try to fix them. There are communication lessons taught in this book. This isn't an easy going love story; there are emotional highs and lows. I had to personally grind through some parts because, well.....feelings and saying "WTF, WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT?" But overall, Nicole Pyland has a new fan.
Still as good if not better!
Did a second read on All The Love Songs after “No after you”. I was delighted to return to this book after reading Dani and Peyton’s background story. Nicole is an amazing writer. I have read and loved ALL of her books and this is one of her best. In all the love songs Nicole brought us on a journey where it shows how there is always someone out there for anyone who is a little different than how society deems as “normal”. Be it a mental or physical condition, love accepts and embraces it simply because the heart wants who it wants. Read it if you think there won’t be someone who would love you for who you are, because, believe it, you could just be “someone’s poison”.

it's a warm and loving story
In lots of romances, the author puts communication problems in the way of the two characters such that it takes a while before they both realize they like each other.
Or worse, they immediately have the hots for each other and something else happens. But immediately lust just seems so boring as a story.
In this book the love comes and the problem isn't communication or realization of that love, but the reality of how to make it work. The love is warm and the lust is there, but
the story is so much more than just lust. In those stories of immediate lust or attraction, the reader is lost as to what more than physical attraction there can be.
That's why I like a slower pace, where the reader and see from each character's perspective why there's love for the other. I like that in this story.
I love the background characters Peyton and Dani. In fact they come across so wonderfully that I went and checked to see if they had their own book.
But I did find another book by this author, so I'm reading that next.
