Description

Summer has always been a kaleidoscope of memories for Shimamura, shifting from the lighthearted joy of her youth to the complicated, heavy expectations of adulthood. Through the lens of this year’s sweltering vacation, she finds herself drifting through the archives of her own history, tracing the threads of the seasons that defined her. But among these nostalgic snapshots, one person commands the focus of her perspective: Adachi. The eleventh volume of this delicate, introspective series strips away the noise of everyday life to examine the quiet evolution of a bond that started in the rafters of a gym and deepened into something far more intricate. As the heat rises, the rhythmic cycle of the year forces Shimamura to confront how the presence of another human being can completely redefine one’s relationship with time itself. It is a contemplative look at growth, the persistence of memory, and the slow, steady hum of love. For fans of the series, this installment serves as a tender bridge between who they were and who they are becoming, capturing the essence of a summer defined not just by the weather, but by the girl who makes it unforgettable.

A heartwarming story of the way love can change us all.

Honestly, I felt the earlier volumes of the series were getting to the point where I could actually predict the story outcomes – the constant awkwardness of Adachi / unintended, cold indifference of Shimamura towards it. However, volumes 10 and 11 really blew me away with how the author, Hitoma Iruma, decided to evolve these characters and even show their successful, happy ending with future segments that really play upon your heartstrings. Reading about how Shimamura finally comes to appreciate Adachi and how Adachi actually learns to temper, for the most part, her obsessive feelings for Shimamura made me feel like this story, as a whole, became more than just the typical High School Yuri. I’m very much looking forward to volume 12, which seems like it’ll be the last volume. If you have doubts about whether Hitoma Iruma can deliver then you should be ready for the bar to be raised a lot during these volumes. Sorry in advance for any spoilers written here but this story really jumps from the ideas of just experimentation to actual romance and it should be recognized for the efforts made to leave a lasting impression. So, maybe give it a try!
