Achilles and Julian were once inseparable, two boys sharing secrets and stolen glances in an unforgettable summer that redefined their worlds. But childhood loyalties often buckle under the weight of distance and unspoken fears, leading them down drastically different paths. Years later, they are reunited by chance, only to discover that the magnetic pull between them hasn’t faded—it has only grown more complicated. This tender and scorching romance explores the delicate art of second chances and the bravery it takes to finally say what was left unsaid. As the two men navigate the lingering ghosts of their past and the undeniable heat of their present, they must decide if they are willing to risk everything for a future together. Told with wit, emotional depth, and plenty of intoxicating chemistry, the story serves as a love letter to the people who shape us, whether they stay in our lives or leave us longing for goodbye. Love this story!

WOO-HOO!!! Was the steam coming out strong with this book!!! This is my 2nd Alexis Daria book and I swear, this book in the "Primas in Power" series is just as good and hot, steamy and to die for as the 1st one. This second chance romance involves Michelle and Gabe. Childhood best friends for years until one night, they almost took their relationship to the next level. That turned out to be a disaster with Gabe leaving town. 13 years later, here we are. Gabe owns a successful gym in LA but needs to go back to the East Coast to open a new location. New location means new marketing for the area, which means.......new hires. The sexual tension of unfinished business when Gabe and Michell first see each other is so hot that I even felt it here in Houston from New York. 😂😂 Having to work together brings up so many childhood memories between the two of them. One aspect of their past relationship that I loved was how they created fan fiction together of one of their favorite shows. Reminiscing on that was so cute. It was awesomely hilarious, sweet and wonderful. But their first hookup, though??!??!? OMG, OMG, OMG!! That was sooo HOTTT!!! Like, OMG! I absolutely love these two! Their relationship and chemistry came to feel so natural once they let go of the past, so the swooniness just leapt off the page and I couldn't get enough. I loved the overall setting, the family and the history this book gave me. Alexis Daria has quickly become an auto-buy authore for me and I cannot…

So much fun

I really liked this one. The characters were cute and I liked seeing them fall in love. It took some time, but I really enjoyed seeing them work out their issues and grow. This wax a good story.

Great but also a little disappointing.

A childhood friends to lovers romance where Michelle and Gabe haven’t seen each other in thirteen years. They ended their friendship with a huge argument and a hot make out session. I was so looking forward to them seeing each other again and the tension between them. Sadly it just wasn’t there. A car ride and one night where not many words were exchanged. That was all it took for them to resolve it. I had at least expected some pining. Instead I got a story of two friends who find their way back to one another. Friends with benefits. The chemistry between them was great but I expected more romance. I appreciated that I got to know more about their cultures and how Michelle and Gabe finally expressed their feelings towards the end were sweet suited the story so well. Overall a great story but I’m feeling a little disappoined.

Everything I wanted!

What I didn't love about this book, it was long, and parts of it felt like it, and I wish there was more groveling on Gabe's part. What I did love about this book, literally everything else! This book was a steamy childhood (and ex) friends to lovers, sweet and swoony delight. I love Gabe and Michelle so much. I loved the glimpses of their past, and how much they always loved each other. I love the fan fic part of this book and how it tied in what they were goin through present day. I feel like both Gabe and Michelle were relatable. Michelle was the side character that interested me most in You Had Me At Hola, because she seemed like she was a no nonsense, take no crap woman, but I really enjoyed seeing her softer side in this book. Gabe is 100% a man that I would be attracted to if he was a real person. I love both of their families, and that they grew up next to each other. This book is STEAMY and I was not mad about it. I was shocked that the action started to quickly into the book and again I'm not mad about it. This book has so many things that I love about romance and I am very much looking forward to Ava's book.

Heartachy

Enjoyed this book. Young friends to lovers trope was cool. Predictable story line but I enjoyed the read.
