Description

Gabriel, the Divine Herald, has spent eternity delivering celestial messages, but he is currently facing his toughest adversary yet: the modern era’s obsession with social media. When the bureaucratic higher-ups in the afterlife mandate a forced professional partnership, the uptight angel fears the worst. He is paired with Leviathan, a tattooed, tentacled sea monster who prefers the surf and soul of the mortal world to the gloom of the underworld. What begins as an awkward assignment quickly evolves into an unexpected journey of discovery. Levi takes it upon himself to show Gabriel that existence outside of divine protocol is far more vibrant, helping the angel trade his heavenly detachment for the simple joys of strong coffee, literature, and the intoxicating pleasures of the human experience. As the two grow closer, their professional partnership deepens into a profound, undeniable connection. However, Heaven and Hell aren't exactly known for their empathy. When the leadership team determines the collaboration has reached its expiration, Gabriel and Levi face a reality-shattering dilemma. After learning to live, love, and defy expectations, they aren't ready to return to their separate corners of the universe. To stay together, they will have to risk everything in this defiant, supernatural romance.

Great fun

I adore these stories, they're so much fun to read without being over the top. Angels and demons shouldn't mix, or should they..... And the management team is hilarious. Highly recommended.

Pay No Attention to the Man Behind the Curtain

M/M Explicit The pairing of opposites--stuffy vs. open, old-fashioned vs. modern, angel vs. demon--works exceptionally well. I love how messages are modernized and streamlined. Teaching Gabriel to loosen up is fun. Seeing more of Scowly and Cutie is great. And we get introduced to the Director of the Department of Souls, the person who's really pulling the strings. Great read all around.

Shenanigans of the Afterlife

Shannon Mae's books never disappoint. She always has an amazing story with even better characters. This book has a very happy ending that is well deserved. Plus, who doesnt love tentacles?? Especially tentacles who like to explore certain Angels. I enjoyed reading all about Gabriel's first time trying or doing something. Whether it was a good experience or something he wasnt thrilled with. Like Mount Everest. Hachi was the cutest adventure companion. Seeing Hachi and Gabriel form a bond was so adorable. Especially since Hachi is such a big part of Levi's life. I expected Levi to be more... chaotic? Devious? But I was pleasantly surprised that he was more of a sweetheart and just wanted Gabriel to experience humanity. Even if his reasoning wasn't completely truthful. I highly recommend anything Shannon Mae writes. You wont be disappointed.

So freaking good

I love everything about this story. It’s just so fluffy and happy. Levi is just the perfect amount of bad boy mixed with good. He is perfect for Gabriel!
